Some ground rules.
These are set and enforced by the dirt.social moderators.
Be kind to everyone, when possible
We get it, its really tough to just be nice, but please.. try to be nice.
No hate speech, period.
Seriously, Hate speech is not allowed here, and will be dealt with severely.
No adult images (nudity, pornography). For both legal and social reasons, the admin does not want the responsibility of hosting this sort of content.
We like nudity as much as the next guy, but it opens us up to legal issues if we store adult content. Especially if said content is of questionable origins. Don't do it.
Keep Political and religious discussion civil. We are not opposed to healthy debate, but please, keep it respectful. No baiting or intentionally polarizing posts.
Find me two people who agree on everything, and I'll give you a cookie. We're all going to disagree at some point, and thats OK. Accept that viewpoints other than your own exist, and as long as they're not breaking one of the other rules, they're allowed to be here just as much as you are. This includes the sharing posts that are meant to divide us, or incite outrage. If you are not sharing with a positive intent, please share it where that sort of content is more welcome. Like mainstream social media.
No images of violence without a content warning. We do not want to ignore the atrocities in the world, but realize that others may not want to see images of death or violence without a warning.
Images of violence, especially of bodily harm or gore, are not something everyone wants to see. Please mask it work a content warning.
No "Fake News". This excludes things that are clearly satire.
This means any "news" article that conveys itself as truth, but is promoting a lie. I realize that these are hard to spot sometimes, but please try to share only things that are fact. Sattire is excluded from this. If the intention is clearly to entertain, not try to pursuade. For example. An AI generated video of someone saying or doing something that they never said or did, being shared as news. Not OK. A comedic skit portraying current events for the sake of satire. Probably OK, as long as it doesnt violate the other rules.
